My niece accidently touch my glad canopy and light fixture. They both fell in the tank. The light was plugged in. I know the fixture and bulbs are garbage. My question is how long can the plants last without the lights? So far the fish look fine. And there are no cracks in the glass.

Do Corydoras Habrosus take breaks under shade? I ask this because normally they act like the energizer bunnies of the tank. But today I find them not really active. The other fish and invertebrates are active. Parameters are great: 0,0,5ppm pH and temp are stable.

Normally my weekly water change is on Wednesday. I am receiving my fish tomorrow, Tuesday. Is it advisable to do the WC today so I don't stress out the fish? Our you guys think its okay to do the WC after I introduce the fish into my tank?

Just took a look into my tank and this is what I found. I think Gary is broken. It still moving eating from the glass but the shell is detaching. Is it going to die? My niece that lives with me is the one who named it and every morning checks if both snails are alive.

Currently I have 8 Corydoras Habrosus, 10 Cestial Pearl Danio, 10 Red cherry shrimp, 2 nerite snails in a 20 gallon high planted tank. Am I able to add 5 or 6 neons/cardinal tetras?

Like in the title: Can an assassin snail eat a full grown nerite snail?

My fishes arrived yesterday. I drip acclimated them. But when do I feed them? First time having a fish tank.

My ammonia went from 2ppm to 0.25ppm in 7 hours. I know this is a good thing. Means the BB is doing its job. Do I dose back up now or wait 24 hours? Doing fishless cycling. 8:34am: 3:37am: Any advice and tips will be greatly appreciated! :-)

Something weird happening to my Wisteria plants. The tips are bright green and growing but the bottom leaves of the stems are rotting away.
