This is either miracle,or completly normal LOL

Well it looks like most have succumbed to white fungus.Ill remove them when I get home from work, but it looks like a little bunch of them on a leaf are still ok.Anyone think they might hatch?

This is either miracle,or completly normal LOL

So my community freshwater 55 consists of 5 emerald cory cats,6 clown loaches under 3 inches.I found some eggs when I got home from work. As far as my loaches are concerned,I have no idea what sex they are.Not that it matters, because I don't think this is about them. That would be the miracle...

    Starting 75gal help!!!

You could pick up some 2.5% limo black at walmart pretty cheap.Im a window tinter by trade,so its easy for me,but there are plenty of youtube videos regarding application of the film itself. A spray bottle with a very light soapy mix and a decent squeegee and a couple of razors(preferbly a...

    Starting 75gal help!!!

Pertaining to seeing the white of the styrofoam a couple of pages back, you could always pick up some really dark automotive window tint and do the back of the tank and a couple of inches of the sides of the tank to keep that from showing.

    Accidentally swallowed tank water

Happened to me once, mouthwashed a bunch, then sat back with a captain and coke until the tank was done draining. I guess after you have to siphon gas in an emergency and get a mouthful of that,a little tank water isnt all that bad.

    "Special" Fish

I have 6 small clown loaches that spend a good deal of time in a small cave that I made out of 4" pvc cut in half. Whenever I bend down to look at them in the cave, the largest one is always upside down on the roof of the cave.Weirdo,lol.

    Aggressive Clown Loaches?

In store, petco generally charges 9.99 for clown loaches. The LFS about 30 minutes away charges 6.99. Bear in mind that the petco ones are only 1.5-2 inches.

    Aggressive Clown Loaches?

Yea,our little conversation here inspired me to run by petco last night and bump my Clown count from 4 to 6. They arent supposed to ,but they matched there internet sale price of 4.79 each. Watched them for a little while last night and before I had one runt that wanted nothing to do with his...

    Aggressive Clown Loaches?

Weird. I would try re arranging the decor and hiding spots to reduce any territorial issues. I have 4,I had 3 originally and one vanished into thin tank(still havnt figured out how one just loses a 3" clown loach with a covered tank) and I bought two more. One is noticably smaller than the other...

Anyone have stained test tubes? I have the fix.

I have a "friend" who has used 91% rubbing alcohol and table salt (salt doesn't dissolve in rubbing alcohol) to clean other certain glass devices and it works like magic. Put a little alcohol in the test tube,a little salt, cap it and shake it like there's no tomorrow.

    Headed to Petco...

One of the walmarts by my house has 4 sickly looking clown loaches I saw last night. Didnt have the means to get them last night due to time constraints, but I may go pick them up tonight on the way home from work.Probably going to have to spend a couple hours acclimating them considering the...

    Black Moor question?

Thats what mine looks like except hes about 5 inches long. So I guess the white tips thing is normal. Meh,I wish he would stay that way.

    Black Moor question?

So your telling me that pic above, was a BLACK moor at one point? **** I guess I should have read up on these fish a little more. Im a Saints fan and I bought him for the black and gold, not the common goldfish gold LOL

    Black Moor question?

Very much similar, but not near as much white. Just the very very edges. As far as turning gold,he has that gold shimmer on his tummy. Not turning like common goldfish gold like I have seen in some pics. So are you telling me my black moor is gonna end up white?

    Black Moor question?

Sorry I havent been back in touch.I havnt had time to get a pic.Yeh his tummy has a gold shimmer to it,but for from actual pure gold.Isnt that normal?

    Black Moor question?

Ok,dont really think he is unhealthy, just more of a concern that I have. I moved him about 6 weeks ago into a 75 gallon with a common and a calico fantail and have noticed that the very tips of his fins are white. Not rot,not a growth, just white. Hes about 5" tip to tip. Is this common...

what stock to add to my goldies

If you go with loaches, snails are nothing but a snack, not so much a stocking idea. I have a couple of fiddler crabs, but I also have the proper underwater habitat for them so they can get out of the water. They are cool as heck, but you have to do the reading before you get them.

    unidentified snail

I have a hundred at any given time in my filter on my 55.When I do water changes I push a bunch of them into my tank, great treat for my clown loaches. They love them lol.

what stock to add to my goldies

I Had 5 but now 4.One pulled a Houdini and vanished. As soon as they start to get a little size I plan on moving them to a 125 or larger.Buying a house this summer,so basically getting them a large tank after we move. I could see realistically keeping them at least 2 years in a 55 with no issues.
