    Lighting

I tried this exact light, it burned out within a month of installing. The guy did send me a new one that I haven't re-installed. As for corals, I didn't have anything but low light corals at the time. The problem is you have to pretty much seal the back of it from being able to get water on it...

    Red legged hairy intruder

After looking at pics, I'm almost positive it is a gorilla crab, it has black tips on claws like they said it should. Is that bad? He's pretty big, quarter or better size with legs.

    Red legged hairy intruder

I'll try that crystal, he does look cool, just don't Know if he is aggressive, etc. I lost a royal gramma that used to hang out in that hole, never found him dead, wonder if he attacked and ate him in hole.

    Red legged hairy intruder

U guys were right, he's still there, got sort of a picture of him. I tried the mason jar with shrimp for two days, no luck. Any other suggestions? He's some sort of fiddler crab looking thing, he has one big and one small claw. He hides in the hole on my live rock.

    Trumpet coral Problem

My trumpet coral is looking sick, photo attached. It is not really growing, it was starting to split when I got it and has maintained the same look since. Recently it got really thin on top and looks like "bones" are sticking out the top. Is it too much light? I've got it near the top of my tank.

    Red legged hairy intruder

Tried to get a pic, he went back in the hole before I could. I only saw his legs sticking out of hole, it didn't have a pincher type claw that I saw, it had a pointed claw on its feet like an emerald crab. I may try and spook him out of the hole and fill it in, it is a hole my jawfish abandoned...

    Red legged hairy intruder

Today I spotted a multi-legged hairy intruder poking his claws out of a rock during feeding, I didn't get a look at the whole animal, but it had a pointed claw on its legs like my emerald crab. Anyone got a clue what it is?? Is it bad for reef tank?

I'll look into the alkalinity test, I'm using the API saltwater master test kit and a separate API Ca kit. Is there anything else I should be checking?

    New Chili Coral polps Out

Nephthyigorgia sp, I think. I've only had it a few weeks, I've been target feeding it and my trumpet coral zooplankton a couple times a week. It is supposed to hang upside down in the shade.

    Peppermint Shrimp Glued Feet Together

I glued a frag on a piece of LR and one of my peppermint shrimp got into it before it dried and glued his claws together. Should I worry? Try to help him get them apart? Will it just wear off and be okay?
