    Need some help with diagnosis

I had an angel die a couple weeks ago from what seems pretty similar to this. I don't know if I'm just not seeing it or what, but I'm having a difficult time determining what this is. Anglefish stays to itself in back of tank (used to be very active) still eats but not very much and not very...

    leopard ctenopoma with oscar?

I recently just took my leopard ctenopoma out of my main tank after slowly watching my cardinal and guppy count dwindle. I now am housing him in a separate tank. I plan on hopefully setting up an Oscar tank in the future. If I grow out my leopard ctenopoma I would like to house him with baby...

Anyone know where to find yellow discus?

I've seen the millennium gold, but apparently they turn orange as they grow depending on what they are fed. I've seen golden yellow and yellow diamond I believe.

Anyone know where to find yellow discus?

Haven't heard of them under that name. Pretty much like this would be awesome, but probably unrealistic.

Anyone know where to find yellow discus?

I'm looking for that golden/ bright yellow mainly solid kinda look. I know they are hard to find, especially in the US. But if anyone has any advice on where to get some either now or in the future it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Skipping off gravel or decorations

    Absolutely! Not a problem

    Skipping off gravel or decorations

Yupp, on the lower side. But most tank raised fish nowadays adjust to many ph levels just fine. Consistency is what is important.

    Skipping off gravel or decorations

The strips are notoriously inaccurate. I'd definitely invest in an API master test kit!

    Skipping off gravel or decorations

Well the flashing could be from the disease you mentioned, or could be from ph levels fluctuating. Check your ph levels from your tap water and compare it to your tank water.

    Skipping off gravel or decorations

Unfortunately that's something called "flashing" It means your fish are uncomfortable, can be caused by bad parameters or disease such as ich or parasites. The occasional flash isn't always something to worry about. If its consistent then it's something to worry about.

    Columnaris

Had quite a few die shortly after this post. However I have had the remaining 3 for 3-4 days now. No signs of columnaris, but somehow have ich now! So treating for that now :/

    Columnaris

Thanks that was an awesome right up on the disease! It's doesn't appear to be spreading. But I have already lost two of them since this posting. They are be hospitalized right now under treatment with triple sulfa and salt.

    What fish would you suggest..??

Well they originally asked for just that. Not for their current setup per say. But as I just went over, I completely know what you're saying and agree with you. If you read my previous two posts you'll see where I'm coming from. It's just me having sort of a "soft spot" for people I see that...

    What fish would you suggest..??

Asked for "colorful tropical fish" in general. Just saying. I do see your point though of course. I just know many times I have asked questions and felt undermined by people doing exactly what they are doing here Same to you as well. Completely understand what you mean, just hate seeing...

    What fish would you suggest..??

He didn't ask for advice on this subject, he asked for advice on what fish to add to his current setup and then was bombarded with "overstocked" and "poorly stocked" comments. He was merely defending himself and telling people that he isn't having the issues people are talking about. Are some of...

    Columnaris

Just got new stock of cardinals and think they may have columnaris. I'm not positive though, so that's why I'm asking opinions hopefully you can tell by pics. One or 2 more have small spots like in the first pic as well. Opinions appreciated! On right side of pic, in front of moss ball...

    Maybe FW Tank

Also you could keep regular filter sponge of course along with carbon or some fine filter floss to catch the smaller particles in the water. And of course your bio media.

    Maybe FW Tank

I'd definitely over filter it. What kind of filter would work best for you situation. If you go HOB then I would go aquaclear 70 or better yet 110. If canister then fluval makes a great series of 06 filters that would work.

    Maybe FW Tank

Hey, word of advice just because I too was concerned about weight on a second floor. But through research I did most houses unless extremely old and fragile should have absolutely no problem holding the type of weight. Think of it like this "5-6 people standing tightly in a row" That's roughy...
