I had the same problem I vacuumed lightly on the sand bed and got most of it turned my lights off for 3 days did 2 water changes and it died off I also changed from 12 hours of light to 8 and it died off

Ok repositioned power heads did 2 water changes even sifted the sand bed where it was and it came back also cut back on feeding how do I get rid of this stuff will my cuc do anything to it.

It's actual going to be for a pair of seahorses under that I have my fuge/sump.

Here is my 75 gallon RR with diy stand canopy and sump the small tank is for my seahorses

Thanks for responding so fast so should I vacuum out that purple stuff while doing a water change. Also I feed on the right side of the tank this stuff is on the left where there is high flow hmmm

All I can say is be patient this hobby is all about patience if ya don't have it this hobby is not a good one to start lol. Keep testing it will turn all is a sudden also do u have live rock in the tank while ur cycling.

It's aiptasia it's a bad hitch hiker the will multiply quick aiptasia x works and peppermint shrimp also like to eat them

Mt DT over flows into the fist tank witch is the seahorse tank it has 2 baffles fists chamber is a sock filter with a homemade sock holder made out of a 4" PVC y adapter then the second chamber is the seahorse side with a 1" overflow in the top right corner that over flows into my second sump...

Here's the seahorse tank they should be here next week

Thanks a lot it took a while lol I have my display tank over flow to my seahorse tank then that over flows to my sump where I have my heater skimmer reactor and then back to the DT here's some more pics

Yeah built the canopy and stand the one it came with was too short and I couldn't put a sump under it built one for my 75gal RR also check it out

I did only tempered on the bottom mine drilled fine here's a pic with the overflow on the upper left corner.

Wow do u have a pic of the nudibranch and why did u take it out what was it eating.

I looked fire worms up and it def looked like one plus it was really aggressive when I took it out either way I wanted it out just in case.

So I pulled the rock out where they were living and smashed it lol got 3 gorilla crabs and a huge fire work here are some pics

Thanks bud. Yeah that was my girls idea thinking of putting sea horses down there the flow is lower and the water is a bit cooler
