ok im going to try and build my first sump build. it will be for a 30g reef tank. i plan on using an old 10g tank for the sump. my ?s are- 1. what size skimmer do i need 2. what size return pump as well as any advice i am open for suggestions . i understand this a bit but could always know more

ok im starting to get it,,,only thing im not is im looking to get the tank to .002. nwith a 20gallon tank doing a 5 gallon water change what is the sg im lookinf for in the new water to bring the whole tank up to .002

lol sorry u said 1-2tbls a gallon is that the whole 20 gallons or just the water i replace from the water change

yes i know to mix it first so 1-2 tbls should it per gallon but is that with a 50% water change or20 or dose even matter

i have a 20g tank that i need to start adding salt . my eel needs do be in brackish water(curently not..was in freshwater when i got it and didnt want to shock it) i understand ony to bring up the sg. .002 a week i just needt to know how much salt to add and should i do a 20% water change 0r 50%...

its a gymnothorax tile...sold as freshwater snow flake eel or freshwater morey eel....i did my research befor i got it and found its actuly brackish to full marine. it was in a freshwater tank at the store so i put him in a freshwater tank and am going to bring the levels up....now i understand...

ok i bought a brackish water eel sold as a fresh water eel....so i got him in the freshwater right now and need to start adding salt...i got to thinking how do i actuly do this...do i do it during water changes and id so do i only add the amount od salt to the water im putting back or enouph...

ok so i got a brachish water eel sold as a freshwTER eel so i hav to start it in a freshwater tank and slowly bring up the salinity as to not shock it when i put it in the tank so... its a 20g tank im going to use instant ocean \ i need to know how much water to take out, do i do the normal...

nitrites-at least 2.0 nitrates-5.0 ammonia-.25 been cyclinf for almost 3 weeks now with established filter media and been doing water changes everyday started with 5 feeders in tank as well...iv been told that with the used filter media it should only take a week ish to cycle....so....whats...

yes i have five feeders in there with an activ filter the filter has only been in a day an a half so can i do more than one water chnge a day? Its looking like i might need to see if the cn let me wait a little long at the pet store to get my fish...im getting a freshwater eel and i know how...

ok well water change everyday from now tell wednesday ...just take a guess would it be done by then or close i put a fish on layaway tell then ....iv clearly gotten some bad advise from what im hearing
