    angel fry

When i did that with mine the older ones tried to eat the little ones. They couldn't really eat them but they would get their tails in their mouth and carry them around until it killed the younger one.

    angel fry

I have about 14 fry that have been free-swimming for about a month now. In a 1 gallon tank i have around 250 fry that just became free-swimming today. I will try to post some pics as soon as i can.

    Ick?

Try to post some pics if you can.

    Ick?

And when you do water changes suck up the water from really close to the gravel so you get as many of the parasites as you can out of the tank before they can get on your fish.
  9. MEMPHIS

    Ick?

If it looks like little white spots, kinda like salt on your fish, then its ich. When my tank got it i got some kordon rid-ich plus and turned my heater way up, around 86*. When you turn the heat up it speeds up the life cycle of the parasite so as long as you dose the tank right it will die off...

    Ick?

    Have you tested your water?

    pregnant guppys

Well about 1/4 of my wrigglers are free-swimming, hopefully the rest will be tomorrow.

    pregnant guppys

Is it a seperate tank or is it a little box that floats or hangs in the main tank?
  13. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

That's what i was thinking it was, i have read about it but never seen it.
  14. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

Did you test the water in the tank or in your nursery? Some of those nurserys don't get good circulation through them.

    pregnant guppys

Sorry about your fry but the good thing about guppys is it won't be long befor you have more.
  16. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

Are their tails just clamped od does it look like their spines are curved?
  17. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

I'm not 100% sure but i think that might be caused by bad genetics. From what i have read online they don't live very long once that happens. Sorry.
  18. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

    Yes i do.
  19. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

I REALLY under estimated how many eggs i had. I just counted 150 wrigglers then gave up cause i wasn't even half way done counting. If just 50 of them survive i will be extremely happy.

I will be glad to help as much as i can, just keep in mind I'm still new at this and still learning myself. I just got home from work and i have wrigglers. A LOT OF WRIGGLERS. I already have them in their own 1 gallon so this time nothing should happen to them.
  21. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

When they start you will run out of room fast. I have 150-200 eggs that should become wrigglers today.
  22. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

Yeah. My neighbor just cycled her tank and she hasn't got any fish for it yet so i gave them to her.
  23. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

I gave all but 5 of them away cause i don't have room for them. They are in my 10 gallon with my angel fry. My adult angels spawned again today so i hope my 29 gallon finishs its cycle soon.
  24. MEMPHIS

    pregnant guppys

I'm not really sure. She is a big female but she started having them in my main tank. I moved her to a birthing tank and got about 30.

If you only put the baby guppy in it then they can go in now. If its cycled. I have a 10 gallon that i move my females into when they are about to have their fry and when they are done i put the female back in my main tank.
