I have about 14 fry that have been free-swimming for about a month now. In a 1 gallon tank i have around 250 fry that just became free-swimming today. I will try to post some pics as soon as i can.

My 29 gallon has a 30" light and on the back of the fixture it says 20 watts and it has a 20 watt bulb in it, but i would like to make it a planted tank so my ? is. Would it be ok to put a 30 watt or higher bulb in it?

Has anyone ever used atm colony to cycle a tank? I'm getting a 30 gallon tank tomorrow and i really need to move some of my fish from other tanks into it asap. If anyone has used this to cycle any feedback would be great.

I got 2 female guppys 31 days ago and i could see a very small gravid spot when i got them home. I know they usually drop their fry at 28 to 30 days but i was wondering how long they can hold the fry?

My LFS is ordering me a couple of marimos and they will be here Wednesday. Since i am new to plants i was wondering if i need to do a dip? If so what kind of dip? How long should i QT them before putting them into my tanks?
