I'm sure he does take great care of his fish. I would like to think everyone that is on the forum does. But like you said, people often get the wrong impression of goldfish and they go in bowls. It's just sad.

I'm not following with your 'if ever' remark. THEY WILL get that big if cared for properly. I'm not saying all of them will but how will you know if you don't take care of them?

1.goldfish are cold water fish. Not tropical fish. Their temps are preferred to be in high 60's to low 70's. they can tolerate warmer waters for short periods of time but causes stress and possibly stunts growth 2 Molly's prefer to be in groups of 4 or more because they are schooling fish. 3...

It is. But with the mollies and guppy or whatever else she has in the tank she is over stocked. And incorrectly stocked but that's already been stated.

I could name 10 that's wrong with the set up. Lol

I +1 about people being too sensitive. I read your original post and jlk's post and I didn't see anything wrong with it. I actually didn't see him be rude, hostile, or whatever you wanna call it. We are all adults here, no one needs to cry over spilt milk. Or a goldfish in the wrong tank.

My tank has been up and running for about 6-7 months. I did an fish-less cycle and everything went fine. I slowly added stock and haven't put anything new in there except a couple apple snails about a month ago. When I started my stock was: 4 Dalmatian Molly's 4 balloon Molly's 4 sunburst platys...

I kinda say its your fault for not looking it over well enough. But no judgement here, I've done that too. I went to buy a 30g with some goldfish in it and the water was so filthy I didn't see the back of the tank where her husband had carved in the glass some kind of stupid skateboard logo...

Check out the TINY little filters on this tank. Much less the 15 fish. Not to mention Koi.

You are kinda taking care of your fish horribly. I think giving them away would be the smart thing to do. It's not anyone's call but your own. If you can't properly take care of them, let someone who knows what they're doing take them.

Thanks :) flashing is when they rub up against rocks like they are 'scratching' it's usually cause by some sort of parasite. I hope you don't have to deal with it.

I don't see pine coning either. Black moors tend to change colors but I don't know about white.

He kinda looks pine coned. Are you sure he's not? The white looks like fungus to me. It may not be so you might want a second opinion.

Is it a fuzzy like white thing on the fish?

Is his body pine coning? Have you done a recent water change when you noticed him acting off? Do you use a water conditioned? Does it look like a fungus?
