    Depends on how big the koi are & how small the frogs are.They will 100% eat any tadpoles.

    I will be getting a 6x2x2 to replace my 4x2x3 soon & wouldnt mind getting some opinions on the best substrate to show off my mixed African lakes cichlids. Im planning on running a combo of white & blue lights.was thinking of a dark,even black substrate? what do you guys think??

    Yeh i use a product by aquasonic called rift lake water conditioner.its just salt & minerals.also hardens the water & helps keep ph up.

    Thanks for that.I noticed that my two yellow tail acei "pseudotropheus sp acei" were the first to do it & then over a couple of weeks several of the others joined in.?? Being new to cichlids but not so new to aquariums i guess ill just keep an eye on them.Thanks again.

    Hi,just noticed over the last few days that alot of my cichlids(mixed african lakes) are darting down to the gravel substrat & kinda scratching thier sides??? I cant seem to see any visible signs of spots or any strange growth ect.any tips/ ideas would be greatly appreaciated.

    I agree.Marine is the pinical & am proud to say had mine to the point of being so established that testing was only done out habbit as opposed to need.must admit living two minutes from a marine national park helped!! great water.

    I kept marine tanks for years but have a 4year old & a 3year old who love getting VERY close to the glass & hence I had alot of moneys worth of fish hidding in the reef.My kids love the cichlids & I like how they have character & to be honest Im still amazed that I never really took an intrest...

    Id love to have pirahnas as well but they are ilegal here in Australia. Ive never kept cichlids until two weeks ago so right now im super happy and fully into them.
