update : i did a usual water change 20% . i noticed one danio was having trouble staying up right. I netted it into the hospital tank (cleaned) and am watching . it seems to be zipping around. I will wait for a day and watch. Water parameters in main tank are ammonia =0, nitrites = 0, nitrates...

Sorry for long thread but I want to give you an idea of current status.
Some details about my tank
- tropical - temp 25 degrees
- tank size- 275l ~ 72 gallons
- heavy planted tank with c02
- up an running for 3mths and fully cycle using using fishless cycle
- seneye+ monitors constantly...
Thanks to you both . Patience is the key ! I did notice that when i turn of the bubble they do start to come out and look. I have a planted tank so will only turn on bubbles for the night now.

I bought 7 seven of these ( 3 males, 4 females ) . Got the extra one free as it was a little one.
I added to the tank 5 days ago. All they do is hide in the plants! I was concerned at first they werent feeding but i got some sinking pellets and they eat those . In the tanl are 6x zebra...
just done a 25% water change and they are at 20ppm. i will get some plants and more fish. Juts got to the that lfs again... the lfs guy really put me off !
yep on same but once school at a time. i been testing my water and current readings are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, ph 7.98 and nitrates 40 (but could higher but not more than 80) . my tap water is 7.5 ph and has 20ppm in nitrates

yep. i did a 50% a week ago as you were right as the nitrates were sky high. I then did nothing and jut waited and kept testing.
I also got a nitrate dipstick to keep me same to see how high and it showed it dropping and then one morning ..down and gone. I didnt believe as i must have done...
really funny by the guy at the lfs was not impressed when i told him i did a 90% water change. said i mucked up the cycle... but following the near complete guide it says this ..? i trust the guide as it has not let me down!

Looking for some advice on which way to point the water return diverters? I have a fluval 406 ad in the tank are 6x zebra danios, 6x white cloud minnow, 12 neon tetras and 6 harlequin rasbora.
The flow is strong but every time i turn it down the danios and minnow run for the air pump ...
just done another 22% water change (making a 44% change in total):

nitrite =5 (+) (went purple as soon as the drops hit!) They must have been even more sky higher before..

I did the test ( pics attached - I will not add any ammonia and will add 2.5ppm once a day).
latest seneye dashboard. the ammonia is nh3 ( free) and not nh3 +nh4. As you can see ammonia is dropping very quickly ! just done a test on nitrites and it shows 2 or could be base 5p as hard to read. Nitrates still 5. Will do a test tonight and post pic. Ammonia (total ) is 2ppm. Will let it...
