    Green Water

No green gravel. I've had and have used this tank for 8yrs. No trouble until about 6 months ago. The "green" doesn't grow on or seem to stick to the tank, plants or rocks either. I've added nothing new to the tank in terms of decorations. I'm baffled.

    Green Water

I have the same light that came with the aquarium when I purchased it. After this problem started about six months ago I tried keeping the light off after cleaning the tank and changing the water. No improvement. We are on a community well system so I thought maybe it's the water itself but it...

    Green Water

I have three established freshwater tanks. In the last six months, every time I change the water it turns very green within 3-7 days. It quickly gets to the point where I can't see the fish. My filters seem to be working fine. I just can not figure out why this is happening. Anyone? Thank you

    Baby convicts HELP!!

Thank you!! Thank you sooo much for the advice. Also, about the water. My water always tests hard. I assume that is because I have well water. If the fish are acclimated to the hard water is it a problem or should I buy water for water changes in hopes bottled water is softer?

    Fx5 troubles again.

Wow, my used 80gal tank came with one of those canisters and we had the same problem, first the noise and then the clamp. Im quite leery of leaving the house for fear of a flood some day. I think Ill stick with the top filters.

    Baby convicts HELP!!

I have four convicts in a community tank and now all of the sudden there's hundreds of babies. What do I do with em and will the parents eat em or should I separate the fry from everyone? Also, i'm new to this site and not sure if i'm posting correctly so I apologize if im in an incorrect place.:
