just use a thin rubber band and you will not have to worry if the glue contains toxic chemicals or not. it will eventually attach in about a week or so.

just my $0.02. cheaper is not always better. make sure the t-5 bulbs you are going to buy come with parabolic reflectors. i have 6 x 54w tek-light system that come with parabolic refelctors. the parabolics are designed to reflect virtually all the light into the tank vs. some cheaper brands...

call greg @ reefgeek. i too will beleive it when i see it! one thing i forgot to mention, make sure you get the t-5's that come with parabolic reflectors, like the tek light system. other knock off's will not give the same penetration.

bulb life is anywhere between 1.5-2 years for t-5's. never had pc or vho so i don't bash anyone using them. they have been around long enough to be considered successful and as we know in this hobby . . . i like my t-5's, they are very bright and don't give off tremendous heat. lps, sps...

as long as the t-5 reflectors are "parabolic," i wouldn't hesitate to point you in the direction of the t-5's. just be careful because some sites sub different reflectors, which is probably more important than the lights themselves. the t-5 tek light system uses the good parabolic reflectors...

someone on reefcentral forum has a 55gal with 4x39w = 2.8w/gal tek light system and keeps pretty much everything: sps, lps, clams.
