Can anybody help. This is my friends jewel that's looking very strange. I wondered if anybody could help with a diagnosis. Thanks in advance :)

A bit if a strange one but it seems our albino cichlids eggs have disappeared. She had them in her mouth for about 11 days and now when I look at her I can't see any in her mouth although all the signs are there. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just a quick update. After close observation for a few days she gave birth in our main tank with no sign of labour. At last count we have 12 baby sailfin mollies. But god knows how many are hiding as we have loads of hiding spaces just incase we don't catch the female in time lol.

That sounds exactly like my guppies. Well atleast we know what to expect. Thanks for the reply

Hi all, my husband has a breeding pair of sailfins but were not sure of the signs of when she will be due to drop. Im a guppy breeder so as they are both live bearing species will there be similarities in pending labour signs? Thanks in advance :)

Ok thanks I'll tell him. I think he's getting worried with it being such a long time from her having her first few and not popping anymore out. The longest mine have been in labour is 7 hours.

His guppy gave birth 2 days ago and had roughly 10 fry. I've looked at her today and she's still black and her rear is still square. Any suggestions would be extremely welcome

Hi, my friend has 3 female jumbo platies. One of the platies keeps sitting on the bottom of the tank and the other platies sit on top of her. Any ideas?

One of my guppies gave birth 2 days ago. I currently have 5 largish plants at the back of my tank and big rocks placed in a way so my guppy fry can hide. I counted 10 fry yesterday and my adults now seem oblivious to them being there. Plenty of hiding places is the best way to go if you would...

Oh and there is roughly 50 babies so I don't think we've done bad considering we typically have 20-30

Hi BB I've already done the food and the babies are in a completely separate tank from the adults to minimise loss. I've left the mother in the breeding net to let her recover before I introduce her back in with the ever sexually frustrated males lol. How long do you think I should wait before...

Thank you. On last count there's about 40 and she still hasn't finished. This is the biggest set we've had.
