i have to disagree with the , "you can't expect to get full price for them", its not like because someone else owned them they are half as good or worn out, that would be like saying a dog breeder cant expect full price for their dogs since they owned them before they sell it, same thing...
although the advice above is decent, i reccomend going to a book store and pick up a copy of "the conscientious marine aquarist" thsi book is really well written adn easy to understand for the beginner, it discusses the cycling process and will help a whole lot when you wanna know what kind of...

the way chemi clean works is you :

looking for cheaper used products, any help is appreciated
if diy and buying cheaper things because you know how to shop is cutting corners then everyone on this site cuts corners, theres a whole section of articles on diy, and people are always buying things on ebay such as filters ,heaters , reverse osmosis systems , hydrometers, corals, fish, you...
so SW=$ plan on it.
not true, not everyone needs a 525 gallon tank, not everyone needs the most expensive things they cant get ahold of, you spend according to tank size, you dont and will never need a 150 dollar super skimmer on a 29 gallon tank, a 40 dollar seaclone works just fine,(speaking...
id get two moorish idols and then some clowns or other small fish, i know moorish idols are hard as heck to get to feed, but thats just what id do, or maybe the fake moorish idols, i cant remmeber the name right now, but that would be cool
they are pretty expensive, i bought a 65 gallon tank for 40 bucks and the stand was 150 or so, then i came across a free power compact ballast and reflector for it, if you keep your eyes open theres good deals around, water is free, and salt isnt that much, then sand is liek 5 bucks at lowes or...
iwould say not to try it, especially with such a smal tank, even a ten gal or 20 gal is better to use, the thing with small tanks like that is in the end it just isnt worth it, the equipment is harder to find,
youll realize its a pain to make a tank like that look good with pumps and haeter etc...
i usually walk my tank, i also have a 65 gal, 36 by 18 by 24 or whatever it is, i just lift one side, pull it out a inch or two, grab the other side and do the saem till its where i want it and straight, no problems with that, heavy , but it can be done
oh, and after a quick google, i found this "Diet: Conches eat grasses, algae, and floating organic debris. They eat using a radula, a rough tongue-like organ that has thousands of tiny denticles (tooth-like protrusions)."
maybe that will help find out who ate your xenia
i hope you have a very large aquarium, did your lfs tell you that queen conchs can grow to be 10 inches , thats a big snail, im not sure how fast they grow, but its soemthing to consider
i got a question, i have a 65 gallon tank, and the bottom is tempered, does that mean i cant drill the sides or back also, do these tanks only have a tempered bottom, or is all the glass tempered?, thanks
how old is the tank, also i was pretty sure red slime and cyano bacteria were the same thing, could be wrong, anyways, pretty much every new tank (less then a year old) will have a form of cyano or slime bacteria, you can usually wait them out, it may take a while, expect to see lots of...
