I think mine said let 5-10 gallons run out first, i wouldnt recommend using it in any tank because you dont really know whats going to come out. Mine had some green water comming out at first because of the resin..so i would just dump it.

I just got a 110GPD RO+2DI REVERSE OSMOSIS water FILTER from filterdirect about a month or 2 ago. I got it because my last one was so old i decided just to get a new one. My problem is im getting a phosphate reading of like .2 out of it. It should be zero im assuming...any idea why its like this?

You cant go wrong with RO/DI, it will end up saving you time and money in the long run. Id either purchase a RO/DI unit, or go to the LFS or Walmart and purchase your water from them if you dont get a RO/DI unit. I wouldnt recommend using tapwater but of course there are people that do it.

How far do you have those off the base of your sump, about 1" also?

So i decided im going to make my own refugium/sump set up, I was going to use just a standard 55 gallon tank and insert baffles and such to create what i need but my stand only allows me 23" of space from top to bottom. With a standard 55 gallon tank being 20" that only leaves me 3" of space...
