if it is Ick though how high do I raise the temp and for how long?

I also thought about the Eheim 2217, but the only thing that I'm hesitant about is the cost for all the filter media and being able to find it anywhere but online. With the AquaTop and Fluval, I could just use my current media. Would it still be wise to get an Eheim? I've heard good things...

So I was thinking of getting a new canister filter and I think I've narrowed it down to 2. Either the Aquatop CF500 with UV light, or a Fluval 406. Which one would you guys recommend and why? or maybe neither? Thanks!

the naming is just preferential, but I would suggest keeping just 4 in a 40 gallon B. That way they'll have enough space to claim territories but with 6 it would be too many. I have 2 in my 40

Finally caved and got 2 blue rams yesterday. They seem to be getting along well with everyone, and seem to enjoy the Cory's brushing up against them. sorry for the photo quality

how about salt? do you add any salt to the tank? a small dose might help so long as it doesn't affect any other species you have
