    Pre Filter size?

Good looking out, did not know they had the square intake. Sounds easy enough to modify.

    Pre Filter size?

I like to use them because it keeps the main filter housing media cleaner longer plus it adds a little more media for good bacteria. Plus my fish eat the food that gets sucked into it instead of going into the main filtration right away. I like using the Filter-Max Pre Filter line, good sponges...

Never tried that brand, but all I use are Eheim Jager heaters and they are great. Never had issues.

    Dual 55g stand

Who's running a dual metal 55g stand? Looking to pick one up but would like to see pics of different brands to see the clearance between the top and bottom tanks and the distance from the floor on the lower tank.

Little bugs in my algae wafers

Just noticed a bunch of dust size bugs in my algae wafers, thought it was dust from the wafers but they moved around. Any ideas? I keep them in an air tight container and only get a weeks servings in another container to keep them fresher longer. My daily container also has these bugs but so...

    WC water

I've been watering my lawn and roses with my weekly water changes, but now we started a fruit and veggie area. Do you use your dirty water for them too? My wife thinks it's not a good idea since we will be consuming them. I say it does not matter but will actually help them grow like the roses...

cheap fluval skimmer - anyone use this?

It works pretty good for the price. Took me a bit to get it dialed in, but does what it's supposed to do. I hooked it up to a Fluval 406 and to a AquaClear 70, got rid of the surface oil slime from not cleaning my black sand pretty quick. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Water pump suggestion

Here's what I want to do, I want to fill up a 100g container with water from my 180g and my 40g from weekly water changes. Once container is filled, I want to water my lawn with the old water, but with a hose and nozzle. It's only a 15'x15' section of lawn, so the pressure would not have to be...

    180g Led light?

Sorry, should have mentioned freshwater with very colorful Mbuna's. I'm just more worried about getting full coverage front to rear. Getting it the correct length will take care of the side to side. First time with a 72"x24"x24" tank, so want to do it right the first time. Was looking at this...

    180g Led light?

What led lights are you guys running on your 180g (6'x2'x2') tanks? Pics if possible, I'm using black substrate, looking for something bright with full tank coverage. No plants. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Dual FX5 layout

Picking up a 180g and already scored on 2 FX5 canisters. How do have them set up input/output wise to get the most out of them. Will the output be enough on both to aerate the top or should I look into a Koralia wave maker or something. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Sponge filter

You could find it at most fish/pet stores or you could get it cheaper at Home Depot. Most like I did use this one. http://m.homedepot.com/p/GE-Silicone-I-9-8-oz-Clear-Window-and-Door-Caulk-GE012A-24C/100091111 Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Sponge filter

Here's one I haven't used yet in pieces so you get the idea, if you silicone the pvc cap to the tile it makes it so you can remove the tube and sponge for cleaning. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
