    making fish only tank-setup?

I'm probably going to be setting up a second tank to try and clear my main tank of ick, have heard this may be the only way is to let the tank go thru its life cycle of no host fish. Its been suggested to go fishless and let it cycle, drastic but I'm tired of fighting off the **** pests. My...

morning surprise, GIANT bristleworm! any good?

Lights out and I just spotted a bristleworm. He was out about 2 inches. Tried to suck him up in a baster but he sucked up into the rock and laughed at me. I've got tweezers for the next attempt! I'd get an arrow crab but I hear they'll eat my snails and hermits. And my new skunk...

    5" blue tang question

Things went south today, He was looking good this morning with just a few specks but now is coated in a haze. We had to quarantine him in the hospital tank and started copper treatment. I hated so much having to catch him and move him but he was getting bad fast. Cross your fingers!

morning surprise, GIANT bristleworm! any good?

He already went down the toilet. Sorry! LFS said they had no desire or need for it. It was reddish brown, so its a fireworm instead? I just can't get over the fact this monster has been in my tank hiding out! What else will show up? Just too creepy for my tastes.

    Peaceful additions

We're at about 2 months now. Went thru some Fiji damsels and dominos that went back to the store for pennies on the dollar. We still have more to catch but the last few are bring very tricky! One domino remains along with some yellowtails which wont let me come near them and are too smart for...

    stupid question about 'reef safe'

If a fish were to be termed to nip at corals or considered not reef safe, would it not be smart to add a bubble or similar anemone to the tank? 120 gal tank, possibly adding done butterflies or angels. Copperband butterfly, clowns and green filefish are already in the tank.

    pearlscale, threadfin and copperband angels

Anyone have any experience mixing these fish? I have a copperband, the other two are described as peaceful. Wondered if they can be mixed together? I have a 120gal tank, currently a copperband, 2 clowns, 3 bangaii cardinals, green filefish, and an assortment of damsals. Any info?
