+1 to test your water. I have a filter that's supposed to rock, but the chloramins(?) are so high in our local water that my ammonia was spiking.

I recently received a mini carpet anemone completely on accident & I'm pretty new to sw tanks. I've been learning all that I can about care for it, (lighting, water quality, flow, feeding, etc). My question this time is, how do I know when to feed it directly & how much?

Nevermind, he apparently got turned upside down while moving or something. Set him back right before I left out this morning, and now he's looking fine again. Man, this bonus nem has caused me more stress than anything that I've actually paid for.

So, after my nem is looking better, healthier, greener the last few days. This is what I woke up to this morning. Any advice?

Thanks for all the advice, guys. The lfs is gonna check w the maker of my lights to find out their recommendation to go w what I already have, to minimize my costs. If I can't afford it, they'll gladly take it. I just really want it to do well, partly because its one of the coolest freebies...
