Aceis are on the lower end of the agression. Also they mainly are herbivorous. In the wild they usually only use algae on sunken wood as their food choice. Beautiful fish tho IMO and in my experiences they swim at all levels in the aquarium.
IMO. If he is just old i would let him live out the rest of his days in the pad. He may still be very happy even tho he has "slowed down" in his olden days.
They usually all swim around freely with no "territories". There is occasional chasing but have had no nipping that i have noticed or fin damage. My male is very calm so id say that helps alot
Bettas are one of my favorite fish and very unique individuals. I have three females in a tank and another tank with a male and two females. I have had no problem with the male and females together. Was wondering what others think based on opinions and personal experiences?
I have two african dwarf frogs in a tank with a male betta, neon tetras, and two cory cats. They live happily and peacefully with the fish and have had no problems at all( not even with the betta)
