Water parameters are checked and weekly water changes. I skipped one time this year. It's not on the rocks and no red hair. Is it a different type of coralline?
Thanks

The local LFS chargers $1 a gallon and premixed is the same. The cost of buckets and travel to the LFS will add up...
55 gl= $65.
10% water change every two weeks. $10 a month.
I add 2-3 gallons every week for evaporation. Another 10 gallons a month. $ 10 a month
The first months will...
The decision is yours? I bought one and enjoy less trips to the LFS store. Water changes are weekly and it adds up. It's a hobby and its up to u.
It will take a to/do unit a whole day to make 50 gls. Depending on the one u buy. It took like 12 hrs for mine to fill up. It's work.
Canada seems to be pricey. I lucked out and live by 3 LFS. One store carries nothing but salt water and is considered a high end coral store. They have frags and clams that I have only seen online.
Shrums are expensive (and find zumas to be pricey. Pone is the best place to 10 s-shrums for $100.
Purchased a not so good brain coral. It was at the store for two months and too expansive.
The coral was u set T5 (cheap days fish dude)
First month
Then LED's and it started to bleach.
You can see some of stony part of of coral. It is rescinding. The guy sold it to me real cheap and said...
Good luck!!!! I would go with whatever rock that will fit your aquascape. I have both and wanting for coralline algae to take off. Found out I had a phosphate problem and took care of that issue with a reactor...
I would cut and drop it. So that u have nothing protruding out of the tank. I'm more for the look factor.
Canopies/ lids are also a safe guard for little kids dropping anything I your tank. I have a lot of unruly nephews. Pain in the butt.... So I need the safety of mind. Too each is own!!!
New info.
Spoke to an expert at LFS. His thoughts was maybe it is starving. So I bought oyster feed and will feed 3 times a week. With skimmer off and pumps off for 20-30 mins.
Feed the tank and a lot of mushrooms reacted to the feeding. As long as the shurm has a little color it is still...
I am stumped too. I did a weekly water change. Tested everything in parameters( I mean everything) the ricordea next to it is also starting to lose color and shrink. It reminds me of a flu? It has color and is still alive. Only time will tell. I spent too much money to watch a diseas spread...
Awesome LED's. I'm not a big fan of hanging stuff from the ceiling. Too each is own. You every thought about constructing your own personnel lid? It will keep the sound from echoing in the house. I have hard wood floors and image sound bounces. I got my tank as quit as u can without constructing...
