Just a male and about 10 of his fry. When I 'rescued' them they were in a 10 gal with about 30 fry and the mother was stuck to the filter motionless... Needless to say, it's a wonderful upgrade to what they've had in the past.

It is a good idea, as mine breed like freaking rabbits. But the fry grow very slowly. I feel like you would need several breeder tanks to keep a steady supply of fry that would actually have some sort of nutritional value.

Nonetheless the swap was successful and my convicts seem to be settling just fine, if anyone cares I plan to add some driftwood and try out some plants and new lighting.

I am switching out my 29 gal bow front with a standard 55 gallon. The problem is I want it in the same spot as the 29 and... This is going to have to be a 1 man job. I am going to pump water from the 29 to the 55 and add and treat water until there's enough to hold my stock in my 29. Any tips...
