    too many snails?

    I've got a 65 gallon african cichlid tank. When I go to vaccuum the gravel during a water change, I get hundreds if not thousands of really tiny snails coming up into the hose. They are about the size of a ball point pen tip. Is this a bad thing?

    Changing Fluval Biomax ceramic media

    The manufacturer suggests that these things must be changed every 6 months. Does anyone know if this is really necessary? I don't see how these things can go bad. It sounds like something to get you to spend your money again on the product.

    Cloudy green water in 2 year established tank.

    The water in my tank is very cloudy and green tinted. This tank has been established for 2 years. No fish are dying or even look sick. This has been going on for a month now. I have done 4 vacuum water changes, 20% to 50% each time. I've used Proquatics water clarifier, Proquatics bacteria...
