    The female will get very big and kinda squared off when she is really close to giving birth. Also the dark spot on her behind will get really dark. If she is the only female the male will never leaved her alone and stress her really bad.

    As long as the temp is raised slowly over a period of a day no more than a degree or two every couple of hours it's fine.     You don't really need meds to treat it just raise the temp to 85-86 leave it there for one week after the last spot is gone and vacuum gravel every other day

    They might have crawled out of the tank. If you want to trap them get a salt or pepper shaker that made of glass put a piece of lettuce in it wrap a piece of fishing line around the top for easy removal. Place in the tank at night and remove in the morning. Keep doing this tell you are no longer...

    If the filter pads get gunky swish them in a bucket of tank water. Do no put new pads in Until the old one are falling apart. At which time seed the new filter pad with a piece of the old filter pad by putting both new and old in the filter for a while

    Fish in cycles take a very long time up to like 8 weeks or longer. So just hang in there
