    DIY Digital Timer

    well no dice at my HD for that timer on clearance, only the $30 version. so I got two of these outdoor timers instead: Intermatic Inc 24-Hour Outdoor Timer Model HB31RD81 Internet/Catalog # 163786 Store SKU # 318622 its water proof etc so it should mount nicly in my stand. cheers!

    Are metal clamps in water ok?

    I wouldnt even use stainless,,, Use only Titanium. Thats why heaters, and probes are always titanium not stainless.. get that clamp outta there if you want anything to live :)

    Some sort of Clam!?

    Being a filter feeder, are they going to help with nitrates or increase them? will they help filter ditrius that is suspended, or are they going to make more waste? just trying to decide if I need to do anything, its my fuge, so i dont really want a bioload...

I didnt know clams live with there open side towards the rock, so I am confused as to the nature of these guys....
