How often do you feed your cichlids?

I have 16 5 labs 5 afra cobues 5 mainganos 1 Pleco

I should be fully stock now , I also got the Pleco

Finally got the mainganos in today

I went into a store looking for mainganos , under the assorted cichlid tank I found this one , how can u tell if it is a maingano or a Blue Johanni ?

This says it has 35%

This is what I bought, I has protein so not sure if it may be right for them, I can always go exchange it

Yeah pretty much I found one where it's only 19 for shipping instead of 35 , but the guy I bought the afra said he would try to get some mainganos for me, so I'm going to wait see, what's the best thing to feed the cichlids ? I have medium floating pellets that I just bought, would that be good...

Yeah I can go get the two yellow labs today, as far for the mainganos ill have to see where I can get them from, I keep looking to see I I can find them local , shipping fees are just to much but I might not have another option

I was talking I the guy who sold me the afra about the selection for tank mates and he said all would work will except maybe the elongatus chailosi because kinda have a resemblance to the afra and might more aggressive to each other Because of it, so I was wondering what would be some other...

Got the first fish for the tank, 3 yellow labs

Results were good today 0 ammonia , 0 nitrite, and180 nitrate , glad it finally has been cycle , took almost two months lol ill be doing a water change tomorrow, thanks a bunch for all the help!

I won't be getting fish till Saturday , so ill keep dosing and do a water change the night before, are we talking like 80% water change?

Results for today look a lot better Ammonia 0ppm Nitrite 0ppm Nitrate. 80 ppm Ph 8.2

Just retested ammonia - looks like it's 0 ppm now

Well results for today are .25 ppm - ammonia .50 ppm - nitrite 80 ppm - nitrate Ph 8.0 I hope this is what it's suppose to do

Ok I did a 60 - 65 % water change , and I'm going to redose the ammonia

Result today Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrite 1.0 ppm Nitrate 80 ppm Ph 8.0 I was hoping the nitrites would be at zero today , but I guess cycle still has a lil more to go, should I go ahead and do a water change? I've only done one like 3 days ago

Yeah hopefully they will, the labs ill get from local pet store , and I'll order the other ones from online, should I put in 4 at a time or what would u recommend ?
