    No it grows just like that and very slowly until like a year being established then it starts to grow slightly faster. It's often said to look like poision ivy.

    That is one of my favorite Auchenipterichthys coracoideus (Zamora woodcat) They came out around midnight for me and hid all day. But they are awesome to watch in very low light, I believe they also like schooling but I cant remember for sure

    It sounds like you might have whisker shrimp, can you take a pic of the shrimp? If that is what you have you need to take them out
