    ATO Question

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced ATO for a small setup? I add about 5 gallons over the course of a week and a half to two weeks and am looking to automate. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    2 Gallon Nano

I get a lot of mixed reviews about reef temps. Some insist on 74 to 75, others 78 to 80. LiveAquaria lists corals at 74-78. Hard to tell which is accurate ? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    2 Gallon Nano

I figured that was the case. I am setting it up in my classroom, though, so have limited control over room temp on weekends and holidays. Hoped a small heater might be useful, but most of them appear to heat to 78+ degrees. I'd like to be at about 73-75. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium...

    2 Gallon Nano

I am experimenting with a 2 gallon desktop nano. The tank is designed perfectly with an area for me to place rubble behind the display. I've pretty well got it all figured out with the glaring exception of heating. What can I use to heat this little tank? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium...

    Been a while

By the way, I just realized I didn't answer your question. Peacocks aren't quite as aggressive as other Africans and I think they would be okay in a 55. I wouldn't go any smaller, though. I'm sorry for a potentially discouraging response ?. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

If you have space for the 55, then I would consider paying a bit more for the 75. That extra 20 gallons makes a lot of difference and makes life a lot easier. This is my 1st cichlid tank, so I'm kinda playing it by ear. I plan to stock heavily, though. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I haven't been on in a while. A few months back I traded in my 40 breeder for a 65 and am keeping peacock cichlids in a planted tank. Quite the challenge, but it's only fun if it's hard, right? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Stocking For a 40 Gallon Tropical Community Tank

40 is a good size. Don't over complicate your stock. See what you really like and get them. I really like my synodontis petricola. I've also got a clown pleco that is comparable in size to a bn, but I think prettier. Also, consider ember tetras. Very pretty in a large school.
