    Thanks for your help guys, I've googled red turf and cyanide algae. IM not sure that mine looks like either of the two. It's not slimey and it isn't growing long either. Strange, I don't mind it at the minute as long as it don't take over my tank.

    The tank has been cycling for 9 weeks now, I have 5 chromis, 1 yellowtail damsel, 1 common wrasse and 1 cleaner shrimp. I've been through that brown algae bloom and now red Coraline algae is spreading all over the lr nicely. I've seen a good 10 starfish a few bristles worms, loads of critters...
