Thanks lando, I do not have a glass top on the tank. My powerheads are close to the surface and I have an external overflow. I think my surface aggitation is good(many ripples on surface). Do you have any other ideas on how to correct this?

Hello all, I've purchased some Chaeto from ebay and it has been in my sump for 3 days now, but my nitrates have not gone down at all. I have a flouro light on 24/7 in the sump(10gal). Should i be worried or is the chaeto just stressed from the shipping. :?

Well I thought that phosphate was effecting my live rock because my rock is fading to white. My levels are ph-8.3, ammonia-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-5, salinity -1.025, calcium-480, alkalinity-4. I don't know what my phosphate level is(don't have a test kit). Any ideas on what may be causing this...

I realize that phosphates affect your live rock, but my question is will the phosphates affect or kill my bristle worms in the rock and tank? And how harmful is it to fish and starfish. Thanks for your time. :lol:

Thanks grimlock3000, I will try to lower the flow a lil bit. I haven't tested the unit with my filter media in it(on order) yet, so hopefully with the chamber filled it will flow a lil slower. If not, I'll come up with something. Thank You All!! :mrgreen:
