Pros and Cons of Filter Sock

I'm not sure if everyone is using filter sock in their sump and if there is any cons when using it. I intended to reserve some nutrients for my filter feeders corals but one thing I notice after several weeks, my cyano and algae starts building up.

    Phosphate

I have a reef tank with LR. My corals were doing fine before but when I started using phosphate remover my corals seem to start declining. I test with Hannah phosphate test kit and it reads 0. Any suggestion on how can I crank up my phosphate back to 0.03? Edit: I already removed the phosphate...

    Monaco or Berlin System?

I am planning to upgrade my 60 gal to 135 gal reef tank but I can not decide to which system shall it be. I have to make a new home for my 4 inch yellow tang and 4 inch blue hippo. At the moment I am leaning on Monaco System for a 72 in. x 18 x 24 tank.

White Brittle Worm in Pink Carnation

I recently got a pink carnation and to my surprise a hitch hiker is clinging to it. A White Brittle Worm which is barely noticeable due to its color blends perfectly. My question is, will it harm the pink carnation in anyway?

    AquaEuro 28 Gal

I just bought this AquaEuro with compact fluorescent light 6000k, actinic and led moon light. My plan is to set this up for corals only with couple of fish. I need some feedback or reviews for this tank. If you have one of this would you share what you have and some advice?

Questions on Snails and Hermit crabs

I have a 60 gal reef tank. I added 10 turbo snails and 10 hermits crabs. They did a very good job getting rid of all the nuisance algae. Question is, now that there is not much algae for them to feed shall I reduce their numbers or just give them algae wafers? My 2nd question is, is it possible...

A colony of white spots just appeared on live rock

I have no clue what these white spots are which appeared about 2 days ago. I started using the Reef Crystals salt by Instant Ocean about a week ago. Before that was just the Sea Salt. My dKH was too high a week before with low carbonate of 360 so I replaced 25% water and added B-Ionic Calcium...
