African Butterfly Fish + Pygmy Cories

15 cories is too many for a 20 gallon in my opinion. I have no experience with butterfly fish, but depending on the size of both, I would think they would be ok. They only get like 4" and I don't think it could eat them..never know though.

    Algae eaters with goldfish

I don't keep goldfish, but I have heard of alage eaters (plecos) really enjoying the slime coat on goldfish too once they get a taste and can actually kill them.

    15 gallon stocking

Sand is preferred..their barbels wear down easily on even round gravel. The dig their heads in the sand slightly and sift the sand and look for food. It isn't a need..but I personally would almost consider it one.

    Algae eaters with goldfish

Agreed..what size tank is that? Looks way overstocked. :/

    Good all around food?

I also say NFS, Omega One also makes some good stuff..my fish love their shrimp pellets.

Spotted African Leaf Fish tank mates???

Pea puffers, but they are too small and are aggressive. And yeah, they are very very nocturnal and are actually pretty much blind and use electric waves off of their head to "see"..neat and cool fish but not the best for something you wanna see alot of.

Spotted African Leaf Fish tank mates???

I would be more worried about the BGK eating the rams before the leaf fish..at least until they are bigger, but I don't think they will..having the 2 plecos will I hurt your water due to their large bioloads. BGKs grow very slow, so depending on the size it is now..it could be fine for quite...

    Upload your FAVOURITE FRESHWATER FISH

I haven't found much info on them, but I think get around a foot or so..but prolly less..and eat the same as other eels. I had a peacock eel in the past too. I love my oscar too but that is probably a common one for alot of people.

Nice tanks, and welcome to the site!

    New/young GBR pairing up

Yeah, they're get it right eventually. Otherwise you could remove the eggs (suck them up) and put them in a different tank or and egg if you didn't wanna wait.

    How to feed electic yellow

Yeah, it might take some time to adjust to the tank..they should be okay.

    Cory ID help?

I would have to agree..looks like they don't have an spots so they aren't peppered..and they might have some bronze/greenish on them..

    How to feed electic yellow

How recent did you get them? Also, is the food still there or did you remove it? If it isn't there they might have ate it and you didn't see it. They will eat eventually, they'll be hungry.

    Tank stocking

Most of those would fit, but not all of them would work and couldn't be together. And also depends what kind of bichir you would do too.
  16. PockX

    Interactive fish ?

Agreed..none of those would really work.. a blood parrot could possibly..but I wouldn't recommend it. The goldfish are probably a worse idea than a BP. Are you just looking for 1 fish for your 29 then?

    Bolivian rams

They seem really light..how long have they been in that tank? Maybe let them settle in and then take a pic..I can tell the 2nd pic is most likely a male..the first is harder..quality wise the pics are good..just can't judge due to their appearance at the moment.

    Guppy fry

They could..what else is in the 20? Otherwise keep them in the breeder until they can't be eaten by the bigger hippies, that's usually what I do.

    Senegal (DINOSAUR) Bichir!!!!

I have had 2 and aren't aggresive at all, I have also seen lots of videos too that show them just hanging out with tons of other bichirs. I never have had one be aggresive to another fish or anything..and nothing is aggresive to them.

    Eel and Ich

Im not sure how senegals are with marine salt..I know they are pretty resistant to ich..but can get it and is very bad when they do. Not sure how a tire track eel will handle it either. I would try to just get some meds maybe..what are you feeding the eel? They can accept pellet food, but...

    Have i got snail eggs?

What size tank do you have? I would be skeptical in getting them to simply get rid of snails.

    29 gallon bittom feeders?

No, not really..not like many people tend to think.
  23. PockX

    29 gallon bittom feeders?

I also would like to add..they grow quite slow and can be timid like you said. However, some are very active and hardly even nocturnal. You could get a small one and rehome it once it gets bigger if you needed. They also like soft substrate cuz they burrow in it.
  24. PockX

    29 gallon bittom feeders?

Actually peacock eels get around 8" max..tiretracks and other eels get around a foot or more..but eels arent really "bottom feeders" and usually require live or frozen foods. Loaches or some corys would work..you're pretty limited in a 29..there are different kind of loaches though, but they can...
