Picked up some corals. A frogspawn to replace the one I just lost in the transition :( , a purple ricordea, and a green candy cane. Everything else is doing great, just waiting on my hammer coral to stop being upset about the move. I think he will take a few weeks to come around.

I have a 4 bulb t5 HO over a 20l. It was doing great in the tank I had it in before upgrading to the current. I acclimated it over an hour replacing small amounts of water with a turkey baster from the new tank. I dipped it in a 10% peroxide bath for a few minutes just about an hour ago and...

My frogspawn has not taken well to my new tank... Parameters, temp and salinity are all in check. Flow is moderate and everything else is fine. Any ideas?!?! My hammer hasn't opened all the way either, but looks better than my frogspawn.

Complete!!! Might arrange the corals and make some small changes to the rocks, but I'll let everything settle for a while.

Added one clown along with my other as I introduced some life into my new tank. Under the rock, near the left now live a candy pistol and yellow watchman. Have rigged lights up now until my fixture comes in the mail early next week. After that, I will add my anemone, corals and other critters.

How is your flow?

It would work, but I owned two of those models and one stopped working after two weeks. I sent it back then the bulb burnt on the second after three months. The glass sleeve was so fragile it cracked as I removed it from the filter. I would look at spending a little more and getting a better...

Yeah, $35-$50 per gallon is probably a good range to expect to spend in setting up a tank.

I think the bio balls might be part of the problem. Hopefully someone else will chime in, but I'm pretty sure they are Nitrate factories. Most of what I have read suggests not using them. Cleaning then was probably a good idea and you should do some pretty big water changes to bring your levels...

20 looks to be near the end of the cycle... Ordering lights tomorrow, and should be all set for the move by the weekend or early next week! Here are the last shots of my 6g nano cube.

Would one taotronics fixture be enough to cover the 30" span of my new 20L reef setup? I was considering a four bulb t5HO, but if I could get away with one LED, I might take that route. Thanks for the feedback.

Nitrites spiking, tank seems to be cycling nicely on day six. Hopefully it will be ready in about 1-2 weeks. Added some more live rock, as well as rubble to the overflow. Here's the new aqua scape:

Powerhead and one overflow pump installed with a rotating deflector. Going to pull the other one out of my 6g when I make the transfer. Heater also in with a big ol' raw shrimp. Threw some of the rubble in the overflow i had in my 6g and will pick up done more tomorrow woth maybe one more piece...

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coral_reef Closer to 80 is where most natural reefs sit at. Google it and see for yourself. Although temperatures range from lower to higher, the most optimal is 79-81. Food for thought.

Overflow installed! Waiting on 15 lbs dry rock from reef cleaners and she'll be ready to fill.
