My levels aren't going up and aren't going down. I was told to add more carbon to the filters and that will help drop them. Is this a safe level for invertebrates without becoming toxic. I have a 55 gal FOWLR tank.

Cool thought I had a problem, I have also noticed some coraline algae growing!

Noticing my live rock is turning orange or some sort of burnt!

Just added some c prolifera and chaeto, will add another 20# of ls and some more prolifera. Creating a seaweed habitat for my fish with the LR as my center piece surrounded by prolifera.

Can i add copepods before i add fish?

Don't have a test for that so I'm going buy one and what should the levels be. I have some microbe lift to remove nitrites.

What else needs to spike!

Tank has been cycling with live sand and live rock for 2 weeks now and I must say nitrates are around 20 ppm, and ammonia is around a trace! Could I introduce some damsels to the tank?

Sump & refugium set up!

So 55 gallons distilled water? Or dechlorinate 55 gal of tap water? I started last time with Tap water.

So I emptied 50% of my water, can i refill with tap water or my old water. I bought 40# of live sand and took out old sand! It's like I'm starting over again! I also have 20# of live for the sump I'm bout to install

Well I'm going to install my sump this evening and remove the cannister filters along with a 25% water change. Hopefully the live rock and the live sand in my sump will finish the cycle for me.

55 gal, done a 30% water change and removed dead shrimp. Ph still around 8.4. But nitrates still around 160. Will do another water change today and clean my filters!

3rd week of my dead shrimp and live rock cycle and ammonia levels are around 3-4 while my nitrates are hovering around 160. What should I do?

Look at the red like clam or plant!
