Yeah the depth is my biggest issue with this tank. being twice as tall as it is wide it is tough to decorate and light. There is no room to put more than 1 light fixture on the tank. It also has made it difficult to build depth into the landscape of the tank.

Something like that would be really quick and easy to do. Is it enough to grow plants though?

After researching my options and the work that it would take to make the one I had function properly, I came to the conclusion that it would be cheaper to order a new one. The old hood only had a small glass area (enough for one bulb) which wouldnt have given enough light anyways.
