Thanks guys! I was afraid to make the call myself, so little information available on the disease. I definitely don't want to deal with this mess again. Some people say 6-8 weeks, others say 8-10. Then a few say 12, which I think is overkill.

I would look for causes first. What are your tank specs? How many fish do you have in there? What are your feeding habits? Personally, I would avoid adding and look to remove or stop the cause for it. Chances are you will be in the same boat within a short time.

I was going to try the turkey baster idea, but I moved the rock and saw on the backside some small green hair algae (small patch). Interestingly enough, theres none of this anywhere else in the tank, or on other rocks. Yes, that side is exposed to sun light the most (slightly and indirectly)...

The bubbles are a dark green, only 3-4 small ones. There on the other side of the lr from a little feather duster that recently appeared.

Another issue, my qt that I just setup with heater is only getting to 75-76 degrees. The heater range stated 76-80. The (DT) tank is at 78. Moving the fish in there after f/w bath, will that shock him? I'm limited right now as I'm at work and really nervous about my every move at this point.
