If its small enough to fit in its mouth it will most likely be eaten. I've seen mine eat a neon tetra whole.
The shark would go well unless it gets aggressive enough to attack the african butterfly, they act big and scary but they aren't really.
They look awesome when you feed them live crickets.
The only time it has gone below the surface was when I first did water changes the the african butterfly in the tank but it rarely goes below the surface.
I have kept them successfully with some killifish and they got along well, the african butterfly rarely gets disturbed except for the odd...
I have these white, short hair like strands all over the back glass of my aquarium and on my thin Val and java moss. What can I do to get rid of it or what kind of fish will eat it? Only my whiptail catfish seems to enjoy it but his mouth is too small to make a real difference.

The larger one seems to have faded colours, a very slight white haze...
I don't mean to come off as rude but you obviously don't know very much about your "baby".
First of all red tailed sharks are an aggressive and territorial fish, these traits are heightened in smaller tanks. They will try to jump out of a tank if the water quality is poor. You are not going to...
Many people will tell you that BGKs each have a different personality. My 7 inch ghost plays nice with everything in my tank including my neon tetras but others will tell you that theirs are aggressive towards fish that are smaller.
