Currently have the following in my tank: 7 Red Minor Tetras 1 Chinese Algae Eater 1 Comet Goldfish The goldfish is coming out of the tank this Friday... going to a new home. I realize the algae eater is too large for the tank and will probably end up replacing it with another bottom feeder...

Adding plants to an established tank?

So I can stay with gravel? Should I add substrate under the gravel? Also I believe the bulbs are 6500K. Also any plant recommendations for my tank? I have 7 red minor tetras and two shrimps.

Adding plants to an established tank?

I have a 10 gallon tank that's been established for about three months now. I added three little plants I bought at Petsmart about a month ago, but after doing some research, I've realized that I should have put down a soil then gravel. Right now they're just sitting in gravel. They don't...

    Tank water is cloudy/milky

I didn't touch the existing gravel, but it's possible it was disturbed from the new gravel touching it. I will look into that! Water is changed once per week... usually 20% of the water. Fish include the following: 1 comet goldfish 7 red minor tetras 1 algae eater

    Tank water is cloudy/milky

I have an established tank that has been running for about three months now. I was a little short on gravel, so I added some additional gravel to the tank yesterday. I made sure to thoroughly rinse the gravel, but the water still appears cloudy. I did the gravel addition yesterday and the...
