My buddy just put live rock in his new SW aquarium and has been doing a fishless cycle. This algae (atleast I think that is what it is) has started growing on his live rock. Is this anything bad and if so how should he remove it?

Try a striped Raphael Catfish they are peaceful and do good clean up work. When they aren't stuck in tank decorations (which mine currently is).

The fish are happy now and the local fish store said that the fish I have are alright in a 10 gallon tank. In fact she said adding a couple more would be better due to the odessa barbs need for "friends".

Nice tank!! I currently have a ten gallon tank with 2 odessa barbs, and a black-spot filament barb. Do you know of any other fish that can go peacefully with barbs?

Look into Odessa barbs they are a beautiful fish and mine are very peaceful!

Also, how big of a tank do dwarf cichlids need because I was debating on a pair of those.
