    It probably would if cleaning gravel, but if only doing wc you'd have good flow. You can also stretch the material tighter to increase flow.

    Also I just noticed the top rim is four separate pieces. And there's no center brace or any evidence of one ever being one.

    Try rubber banding a nylon stocking over suction end. I do this on my betta fry tanks. Works well. Or pantyhose.

    If you have any car audio stores in your area (ones that only deal in car audio) check them out. They usually sell led light tubes in different lengths and colors. All you'll need is a ac adapter at 12vdc

    So I just picked up a 70g tank off craigslist and was wondering if it could be derimmed. Its 36"x18"x25" and the glass is 3/8" thick.
