People on this app generally know more than LFS workers who probably don't have fish tanks themselves. The stores are in it for the money, selling you "bottled bacteria" nets them more money than suggesting water changes which nets them 0 profit!

The other strange thing is I never see the kuhli loaches eating and none of them have died yet?

Ok thanks I will try that even though the cories are the first ones eating the pellets, I know they are eating. I have removed the painted deco and may switch out to sand. I don't know how to do live plants ???
