At the beach last week an this 2 inch round anemone washed up on the beach in the surf. It's Gray an white in coulor an has no foot. It does not attach to anything just "roll" around in the sand bed an feeds. It will take food when I feed it. Does anyone have an idea as to what type it could...
Good luck on the tank and home, I lost my tank to Ivan but we were with out power for two weeks plus. could not even get back to see what was left for week. by then it was to late. But the heat was what did the most damage.
do a search for live shrimp or gulf live shrimp. friends that have been over love the shrimp in the tank. they are fun to watch as they swim around the tank. they go down to the sand an it's like in 30 sec. they go under the sand. they dig in the sand an eat something that they find in it. will...
No corals just the fish and Lr in this tank. this is the tank that Ivan took out. The shrimp are one of the 3 main shrimp in the gulf great bait an at full size great to eat. a lot like the white shrimp on the east coast
I was the same, but as of now they are great, never had the sand bed worked so good. They stay under the sand most of the time with only the eyes out. when one comes up they all do and start looking for food. they have done a good job on the LR also at cleaning it up. looked them up on net they...

Don't know about Australia, but here in Alabama I take it out to the edge of our back yard and dump it. The deer come up and lick the salt that has been left behind. That way I get to enjoy the deer.
I have a tank with only Damsels in it. Just like the guys seems most people don't. the 3 velvets that I have in the tank have been doing ok with all the other damsels. this group has 2, of the striped damsels, yellow tails, blue, and domino.
It started when a turbo snail got into the clowns anemone. The clown went nuts to get it out. The snail died, and the clown has a cut about a 1/4 inch on the side. he is doing ok but is there anything I can do to help him ?? :(
They will do that I have cut some off to move and they will grow back in the same place from the part left behind. You can also take them and cut them in to quarters and put with LR rubble and they will attach to it and go new ones.
I did the shrimp also on 50 lbs of LR, when the ammonia got hi did 100 % water change. had to do this 2 times over 5 weeks. had stars crabs and pods that made it all the way to the tank set up. and thanks for doing it with shrimp. :)
I lost my first tank to Ivan, so I too had to think about putting the tank back up. I have a generator now but I am only 1/4 of a mile from gulf and less than 50 yards from bay. I did put the tank back up an glad I did it gives me a lot of hope to know that its back up and I did not give up. If...
