    Are Pico's REALLY that hard?

Well, corals do grow, some faster than others. So it depends on the kind of coral, and what size you originally purchase it in.

    Are Pico's REALLY that hard?

Yes , but Mel ended up taking the tank down as the seahorse died and the tank also became a hassle (I've actually emailed him and talked to him about it). Not to mention he seeded the pico using bacteria from his display tank. And used water from his display tank to upkeep the pico, plus Mel is...

    Are Pico's REALLY that hard?

The seahorses will need warmer water than the Catalina goby as the Catalina is a cool water fish. It would be more of an "either or" situation, IMO.

    Are Pico's REALLY that hard?

+1 on the dwarf seahorses. The live brine also needs to be relatively young. They are also super sensitive to water parameters. Just something to think about.

    Are Pico's REALLY that hard?

The key here is definitely reading up on information before you take the plunge. It is very possible, but you have to be on top of your maintenance as well as water changes and testing for success. I suggest going through various threads of other people's 2g set ups and builds to get a better...

    Clownfish

Definitely either a neon or a clown goby would work. A couple hermit crabs and some snails too. If you want bigger fish, you'll honestly just need a bigger tank.

What kind of lighting are you using?

    Clownfish

What fishlover07 said, the poor thing needs room to swim and 5 gallons really will not cut it.

    Clownfish

I wouldn't put an Ocellaris in a 5 gallon to be completely honest with you.

    Clownfish

Depending on the clown and how frequent the water changes, you could put one in a 5. But I would be very wary about putting any fish into a tank that small. I'd say you're better off putting one in a 10g or two in 20g.

    to add sump or not?

I think theres just too many benefits to pass up. I see your concern, but if anything, the sump will make sure your tank stays balanced. Added water volume is always a good thing.

    Adding a Tang

I wouldn't worry too much about both of the tangs, seeing as the tank is large enough to where the two have ample space to swim. You already have one tang, so dominance has already been established, so to speak.

    Frag tank

Gobys work well, a friend of mine has a couple small clowns in his. It really just comes down to the size of the tank. Just make sure not to chose any known jumpers.

    Calling all Clarkies

In my experience, different species of clowns don't make good tank mates, then again, it all comes down to the fish you have chosen itself. I wouldn't risk it, as it is an easily unavoidable negative interaction between tank mates.

    New reef JBJ CF nano

I would try creating a base out of PVC pipe and then attach the rock to that. I find it works well and is a lot safer for my fish. Having a base also makes it easier to aquascape, IMO. Good Luck!!
