    Buying a big aquarium.

If you’re paying 6,000 for flooring for her, then surely you can spend a bit on a tank. Fortunately my wife doesn’t really care. I’m sure she doesn’t want every bit of wall covered with tanks, but other than that. It’s fair game.

    Buying a big aquarium.

They have it for $600 tank stand and lids. I was hoping it would get marked down to $300 for Black Friday. Even the manager I talked to a few weeks ago thought it was going to be %50 off.

    Buying a big aquarium.

Well it looks like petsmart isn’t doing the 120 doe %50 off this year. I’ll keep an eye out for a used one, or wait until next year.

    Buying a large aquarium

That is what has me scared to do a stump. I’ve built a lot of things, but I’ve never messed with drilling glass.

    Buying a large aquarium

I was thinking of a stump or 2 flival 110s. I’ve heard mixed things about the tidal.

    Buying a large aquarium

I do the same for my 60g stand. I’m always looking for the wood bubbling up, or anything like that.

    Buying a large aquarium

Thanks for the information. I think I’ll go with the 120. I’ll probably enjoy 2 120s with different set ups than one 240. I will probably only get one for now. It will probably be a few months before it’s set up, but I’ll come back and post some pictures. Annother thing I’ve been thinking...

    Buying a large aquarium

I may go with the 120. What I was wanting to do is a ton of tiger barbs, and Opalin or chocolate gourami. I once had a 30g with opaline gourami and tiger barbs, and I’d like to recreate that in a huge tank with maybe the addition of clown loaches. If I decided to add the clowns, I bet they would...

    Buying a large aquarium

Here’s what it said. Thanks for the information. I’ve checked out glass cages and custom aquariums. I’ll check out the other ones when I get home from work. One thing that I’ve noticed from what I’ve seen the past few days is how much the price shoots up when you get passed 120 gallons. For...

    Buying a large aquarium

I was told by a manager that they would be about half off on Black Friday. I didn’t check out the stand it came with last time I was in there. Would it hold a 30-40g stump in it?

    Buying a large aquarium

I am thinking about buying a bigger aquarium at Petsmart on Black Friday. They have a 120 with a stand that I’m leaning towards. My question is where do people usually buy large aquariums, 180-240s. I don’t want to buy the 120, then regret it, and wish I had gotten a bigger one. I don’t mind...

    Buying a big aquarium.

My local petsmart has a 120g but I feel like I will eventually want to go bigger in the future, so why not get bigger now. I’m thinking about going with the 120, but where do y’all buy 180-240s? I’ve done a little online research, but I want to see what others do. I just want to see what my...

    Spots on glass

I think so. Someone told me they are half eaten Cory eggs. They said their corys would lay eggs, and after they were picked at that's what they looked like.

    Spots on glass

I have a 60g freshwater. I noticed several of these spots on the glass. My first assumption would have been snail eggs, but I don't have any snails. Anyone know what they are?

    Nigel's Mountain Scape 36L

Looks more awesome every time I see it. You did an outstanding job giving the illusion of depth front to back. I know it's some distance there, but from the frount it looks way further back than it is.

What is wrong with this fish?

I didn't have a Q-tank for a long time, then I found real quick how expensive it gets to dose my show tank.

    Help with adding biological filtration.

There's alot you can do. Adding an intake sponge is probably the easiest. You can use bioballs, or biorings in the filter. If your filter doesn't have much extra space, they also sell small pellet shaped media and little sack to put it in. You can shape that and got it in there. Carbon isn't...

What is wrong with this fish?

I'm sorry to hear it. I've started to just quarantine and treat everything I buy. I just assume everything is sick with worms, ick, or something.

What is wrong with this fish?

It could have worms. I think API General cure is suppose to help with worms/internal parasites.

I also wanted to include that I'm no expert, so do alot of research on the sand you want to use, and make an educated decision.

    Cheaper Sand Options

I have a sponge filter at one end and a hang on back with sponge on the intake at the other end. I have recently realized how effective sponge filters are dispite seeming primative. I'll let you know if I see any problems that I can link to the sand, especially with the Corys. that's a...
