I am currently setting up a 240 gallon saltwater tank its going to have mostly soft corals and fish. I have 3 metal halide lights for the tank a 400 watt and 2-175 watt but no bulbs, any suggestions on what kind of bulbs I should go with and where. Also I was thinking of getting 2-4 foot vho's...

ok how about if I use my 2 175w m.h. and my fluorcents and a 400w m.h. in the center. That would put me at about 4 watts per gallon

its a 240 gallon I was going to use 3-175 watt mh and 2-8 foot fluorcents and yes im going to have some soft corals and some mushrooms

Hey guys hope this isnt too much of a newbie question but I found a couple of metal halide light fixtures laying around in my garage they were used to light up a parking lot they're 175 watts each, if I replace the bulbs with 10k bulbs will it work ok ?? thanks Leonardo
