    5,236.4 gallon tank build

Here we go again... Do you even realize how many problems arise filtration, heating, cleaning, water changes. What about when a leak springs? Even if one built something this crazy you still have to maintain it... Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

When your skunk cleaner shrimp goes to the dark side!

IME you should never have more than 2 skunk shrimp. I've tried in tanks larger than 100g and everytime two become a mated pair and pick on the third wheel or others. Literally have seen the two mates chase other skunk shrimps around and attacking them Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Need a return pump recommendation

Mag drive is one of the most reliable pumps on the market. Their down fall is a good amount of heat being put off and once you go bigger than the 12 I heard they can be a little noisey. http://www.thereeftank.com/compare-water-pumps/mag-drive-12-1200-pump/reviews/

    Need a return pump recommendation

My mag drive 12 (1200gph) is the return pump on my 100 gallon, not the best pump, but a great bang for your buck. I have no complaints so far

    Overflow box questions

You have a drilled tank? Because everything I have read about HOB overflows require a aqua lifter for when power goes out and need to get siphon going again.

    Bristlenose fry...a question!

Also had an accidentally breeding with two albino bristle noses. Don't even know how I spotted the two fry in my 100 gallon. Unfortunately lost them to the filter or hungry fish. Would like to know your experiences, because I'm going to keep my mating pair it looks like

    Frag Setup

Looks like my pump is coming tomorrow! About to get this project in gear. Going the tray route, going to be about 100 gallon with about 800 gph return pump. What size bulkheads should I buy from LFS in order for the overflow to be able to handle that? Also threaded bulkheads right? Would I just...

    125 Gallon Project Tank

Nice set up, glad your showing people you can do a great tank without breaking the bank. I feel like a dummy for asking but the PVC in the middle is the overflow correct? How far does it go up, what diameter and does it have anything special at the top to let the water in or is it just the open...

Why are Neon Tetras so hard to keep ?

The warmer the water the less oxygen it can hold as well. Don't go above 80 unless treating ich simple as that, it costs more to keep your water that warm too....

    Frag Setup

Going to be setting up a dedicated frag set up, going to use the hydroponic grow trays. I'm doing everything on a budget and have everything but the sump and overflow. The sump I should be able to figure out, but I'm lost for how I should do the overflow. I'm guessing the cheapest way would to...

**** I should waited down to 129.99 for the current 48-60 with remote right now! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C7OTF9E/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1386112616&sr=8-1&pi=SY200

    Satellite led fixture

For me it was a no brainer, throw money away on t5 bulbs that's trash out enviornment or pay 150 for a LED that covers my 125 gallon and I won't ever have to replace it. I haven't tried the tougher plants to grow but I'm sure if I supplemented co2 and neuts there's nothing that wouldn't grow...

    Satellite led fixture

I own the 48-60 with the RGB and remote. My FW plants took off when I got that thing! I'm sure there are higher PAR ones available but for almost all FW applications this will be plenty. Obviously getting a marine one when I finally get my reef set up going.
