    Temporary replacement aquarium cover?

    My cousin just dropped and broke my cover, is there anything I can cover with until I get a new one? Was thinking aluminum foil but I didn't know if there were harmful chemicals in it..

    silicon sealing tanks

    Is it safe to seal the lip of a tank with silicon? Is there maybe certain types of silicon that will or won't work? Again I'm not sealing any cracks, just the glass panels to the bottom of the tank. I was told its fine but I wanted to check!
