It was from an apple. It was live but dry. No shoots or leaves on it. Its in the sun now. I was thinking. Bake as its quite large then soak for a few weeks to make it water logged and go from there. Wasnt sure if thats safe or really what the baking process is

I tried with sand before and without a good wash the water just wouldnt stay clean. As soon as anything touched it there would be a massive cloud all over the tank. If you can i would empty and wash. And once you think its washed, wash it some more. You also wouldnt want all that sand getting in...
Ive just been cutting my tree down in my back garden. Ive had some really cool looking branches come from it which i know will look great in my tank. I was wondering if anyone knew how safe this was or has any previous experience or advice. Obviously i will clean and soak for a good month before...
Im looking at getting a 6 footer later in the year to keep both tanks going for a mix up. As it stands i have tank dividers at the ready in case anything changes. The firemouth and convict went in together and were in the lfs together too. Really dont want to split them if it can be helped...
Ive had my tank running for around a year now. Its well established and a very happy tank. But i have a lot of space left for new additions to liven it up. Maybe some top dwellers or some active fish to liven it up or brighten it up. My main setup is a 55uk gallon currently stocked with a blue...
If the lower nitrates dont change anything ill quatantine in a couple of days. Need to get a little filter as my smaller tank has a live bearer stock atm
A full clove of garlic? The wc has brought it down to 20ppm so ill do another get it lower hopefully. Its always varied between 10 and 30 but no higher then that
Isolate and treat for anything?. Ive done a 50% wc since the reading so nitarates may be a bit lower already. Thought the change might put a spring back in her step but no change
So there at 0 apart from nitrate which is at 30ppm. Temps at 26.5. Ive got 10 neons 4 corys 1 blue gourami 1 horse face loach 2 rams 2 bala sharks. Until there bigger and will be moved. Ive been cycled for 6 months or more now. And this has happened in the last week
Fins are all intact. Not as big as the males though. No spots or redness or gasping. Shes feeding and swimming around as normal. She has gone a little solo and spends alot of time away from the other fish though
No ive been watching really closely since i noticed the fading. All the parameters are good. There is some male attention but its not more than a 2 second chase and its done. Ive just found it strange that all fish are doing fine and even the male looks amazing now
Hi ive got a male and female blue ram. Ive had them a few months now. The male has become very vibrant in colour and size and his fins have grown quite fancy. However the female has lost most of her colour which she started with only leaving her with the smallest amount of colour and is no where...
Yeah mines cycled months ago now. Got a 55 uk gallon i think thats around 75 us gallons. Atm i have 4 cories 10 neons 2 blue rams 1 blue gourami 1 horse face loach 2 bala sharks (they are just babies atm and will be going in a 75 uk gallon in about 6 months-my next project). So im thinking 1...
Well yeah its possible its never cycled depending on cleaning the filters or changing the filters. Continual water changes slow the cycle. Like previous poster said it could be a total overload of food or waste. If you have continued problems with ammonia i would really consider re homing and...
