    Looking to start over

Well, I'm pretty much done with the fish. I had a great run. Thanks everyone for your help and for keeping me motivated by seeing your amazing tanks. Starting over as a Vivarium. The picture is the progress so far. I love how it looks. I'm still going to keep a couple fish, but just a few...

    Looking to start over

So the paint is still looking great, but I had to get rid of the turtle ?. On the bright side I've added 2 new spotted puffers(turtle ate the one I had before) and 2 frogs. Got them in a small puddle on base lol. Here's a picture of the habitat I made for them in my aquarium. Let me know what...

    Looking to start over

No worries. My tank is glass, about 1/4" thick. I used 180 grit sandpaper on the back just to give the paint something to hold on to. The paint on the trim as a great shine to it as well. I noticed that if I keep 2-3 baby carrots in the tank, the turtle leaves the plants alone, which is nice...

If I keep him feed he leaves the plants alone. Also made a few changes to my tank and stand. Plants are Cat Tails lol. Sanded and stained the stand and painted the back and trim of the tank Sent from my iPad using Aquarium Advice

    Looking to start over

I'm going to get some plexi cut today after work. Was told itll cost about $32 dollars. I wont have a lid on my tank, but I will have a 5" wall all around it to prevent my turtle from escaping. I'm also picking up a small heat light and stand so my turle will be warm when he leaves the water...

    Looking to start over

I want your opinion on something. Right now I don't have a "lid". I have 2 pieces of plexiglass covering the openings on my tank. My lights are submersible so they are sitting just under the surface. What I'm thinking of doing is getting a "lid" vacuum formed and then move my lights out of the...

The lilies are growing great. Also added duckweed. The pads will be able to support weight in a few days. Friend of mine is going to get me diving beetles, water striders and frogs from his work. The transformation to a pond style aquarium is almost complete

I do weekly water changes now. And as for the filtration I'm using a Aquaclear 110gal filter. Mounted to the end of my 75gal it provides a nice current that keeps the water moving throughout the entire 4ft tank Sent from my LG-E971 using Aquarium Advice mobile app
